Tymko hears the world again
Tymko is eleven. He's from Chernihivshchyna, loves football and building model planes. Last winter, after a blast concussion, his world began to go quiet — first the voices on TV, then his friends', and then his mother's.
Doctors said it plainly: only a cochlear implant can restore his hearing. Without it the boy would gradually lose hearing entirely — and fall behind at school. The family couldn't manage the sum alone.

What we did together
We opened a €8,750 fundraiser and told Tymko’s story honestly, without melodrama. In 19 days over 600 donors closed the goal. The funds went directly against the clinic’s invoices — implant, surgery and the first fitting.

What's now
Tymko is back at school on par with classmates. For the first time in a year he heard the school bell — and his teacher's voice. Rehabilitation lies ahead, and we'll be with the family for as long as it takes.
