Recovery camp: 80 children, two weeks of light

Two weeks, 80 children from frontline communities, a team of psychologists and simply adults who were there. That's what our spring recovery camp looked like — and that's what psychological support looks like when you can see it, not just measure it in reports.

What the program included

  • daily sessions with child psychologists — individual and in groups;
  • art therapy, music and theatre — to process emotions words can't reach;
  • games, a hike and simply time to be a child — without news or alarms.

"The hardest part isn't healing the body — it's giving a child permission to be happy again. At the camp, that happened."

What's next

For many children this is only the beginning. We continue support at home: online meetings, parent support groups and, where needed, individual work. Stability is the best medicine, so we stay close for as long as it takes.

Thank you to everyone who made these two weeks possible. Your light became laughter on the playground.
